We have been busy in our kitchen again and tried out the Fibre Boost Sprinkles in a Apple Max Pecan Bread.  Give your treat a boost by adding BARLEYmax wholegrains!

Ingredients:

1 cup plain flour

¾ cup wholemeal flour

1/3 cup Goodness Superfoods Fibre Boost Sprinkles

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon powder

1 cup raw sugar

2 cooking apples, peeled, cored and grated

1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

100g butter, melted

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

Cream cheese, for serving

 

Preparation:

Sift flour, Goodness Superfoods Fibre Boost Sprinkles, baking powder and cinnamon together into a large bowl and return the husks to the bowl.

Stir in the remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly.

Spoon mixture into a greased and lined 10cm x 20cm loaf pan.

Bake in a moderate oven 180°C (160°C fan-forced) for 55-60 minutes.

Serve warm, spread with cream cheese.
