How quickly one hundred days goes. On April 1st our 100 Day Challenge began with 100 enthusiastic participants, all with one thing in common: the desire to improve their health and lifestyle by eating a regular diet of Goodness Superfoods’ products (Digestive 1st, Protein 1st, Heart 1st and Barley & Oats 1st) containing the all important BARLEYmax.

Firstly a BIG thank you to all of you who participated, without you we wouldn’t be able share the amazing results of the Challenge.

We’ve received some incredible stories from our challengers. Some of the comments we’ve had include:

-        I felt fuller for longer, which meant I ate less and felt lighter, avoiding unnecessary fats and carbohydrates

-        My cholesterol levels were reduced (reduction levels ranged from 20%-40%)

-        The symptoms of my irritable bowel syndrome were reduced and I experienced less pain and my cramps have subsided

-        My blood sugar levels dropped by over 40%

-        We shed weight over the challenge (this ranged from 2kg-12kg!)

-        I’ve had no more stomach problems since starting the challenge!

When we conceived the idea of trying to help people change their lives through Goodness Superfoods’ products our expectations of the outcomes were optimistic but we had no idea of the wave of benefits that have resulted. Overwhelmingly our challengers felt more in control of their bodies, both inside and out. Overall the feedback was that people felt energised, felt fitter, felt healthier and felt better within themselves.

    I have just bought the Quick Sachets of Barley + Oats.

    As I don’t find it terribly palitable, I added some sultanas and some Low GI sugar along with low fat milk. Is that OK??

    HOWEVER

    Throughout the day, I have dreadful painful, flatulance and I have to go to the toilet all the time.

      Hi Helen,
      What low GI sugar did you use? I think it is absolutely okay to add sultanas or any other dried or fresh fruit to the porridge to make it taste better. Honey would be a better alternative though to make it sweeter than sugar.
      Regarding the discomfort and flatulence you experience, my advice is to gradually introduce all Goodness Superfoods products to your diet. The high fibre content can cause the symptoms you described, but they will go away as your body gets used to the products. Sticking to the recommended serving size is also important as you need a lot less than any other cereal to make you feel full.

    Hi, I have been a Crohns disease sufferer since the mid 1980s and have undergone many treatments since, including surgeries. I have recently started Humira about June 2011, but still found I was on the loo 4 to 6 times a day. About 3 weeks ago I commenced Digestive 1 and within a few days my loo visits reduced significantly, and now average 1 to 2 visits a day, I am also feeling a lot better in myself. I can’t wait to tell my GI Doctor in a few weeks. Thanks Goodness Superfoods. Rgds Mike
